Manager of Driver Training and Education, Jeff Wisgerhof
Jeff started his career very early at age 16, pulling a flatbed trailer. In 1987, he joined TMC as an owner operator and in 1990, he became a company driver. In 1998, he left the road and now currently manages the training department.
Jeff is one of just a select few drivers to hold the prestigious Wheel Master Award.
In his free time he enjoys working on old cars.
Orientation Apprentice Driver Instructor, George Murray
George entered the Marine Corps in 1988, where he was a member of the Fleet Anti Terrorist Security Team (FAST) and a combat veteran of Operation's Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Restore Hope (Somalia). He exited the Marine Corps as a Primary Marksmanship Instructor in recruit training in San Diego, CA. After the Corps, he joined the transportation industry as a van/reefer driver, and after 6 years on the road he became an Onboarding Instructor for both van and specialized training for another major carrier. George joined TMC in 2007, as a Safety Manager and is glad to now be back to his “roots” in training.
In his spare time he enjoys bow hunting and fishing with his children.
Orientation Experienced Driver Instructor, Randy Groff
Randy has 15 years in the business pulling flatbed and reefer trailers.
Simulator Instructor, Todd Heck
Todd has 5 years of driving experience pulling van and tanker for Maytag and also pulling a grain trailer.
Load Securement Instructor, Nate Smith
Nate started with TMC in 2007, and was recently on the John Deere Specialized Division.
Yard Training Instructor, Joe Chance
Joe spent his first 5 years with TMC as a driver beginning in 1995, and was the recipient of the 5 year safe driving award.
Since that time he has managed the yard training program.
New Driver Release Instructor and Training Coordinator, Matt Jorgensen
Matt was an accident free driver for 6 years and has received the 5 year safe driving watch award.
He was also the truck rodeo champion in 2001, and placed in the top 3 in 2000 and 2002 in addition to being recognized in Trucker News, July 2004, as a Highway Angel for assisting in an accident.
Matt participated in the 2004 World's Largest Convoy for the Special Olympics. Prior to TMC, he was in the Army for 5 years and obtained the rank of Sergeant and was in Operation's Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and holds the Kuwait Liberation Medal. He enjoys spending time with his son, working on cars, bowling, and is currently in the process of obtaining his private pilot's license.
New Driver Release Instructor and Orientation Instructor (Columbia, SC), Marty White
Marty began his career at TMC in 1997 as a driver until 1999, when he came off the road. He enjoys coaching baseball and football and spending time with his children.
Before coming to TMC, he spent 9 years working with people with special needs and disabilities and he was also a teacher for 11th and 12th grade students.
Director of Curriculum Development, Michael Eddy
After leaving the Army, Mike spent time as a driver starting in 1993, and he later joined TMC in 1995. In 1999, he left the road to become a training coordinator and later a classroom orientation instructor in Des Moines. He now oversees the implementation and maintenance of many of the materials and media TMC uses in its orientation and training programs, including this web site.
He and his wife Heidi, were married in 1988 and they have four children. In his spare time he enjoys anything and everything UFO and space related and is an all around "geek".
